Consulting

Urban Innovate, founded in 2024 as a 100% women-owned LLC, is dedicated to enhancing urban livability. We believe that when applied thoughtfully, technology can be a powerful driver of sustainability and social impact. Through our consulting services and our flagship product, pulsur, we help cities and communities address transportation challenges in innovative, human-centered ways.
Individual Consulting

Since 2024, I have a special appointment as an expert and advisor to the European Commission to assess the fitness of EU and UN type-approval regulations for light and heavy-duty vehicles in collaboration with UNECE World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations (WP.29), focusing on aligning non-ADS regulations with the introduction of Automated Driving Systems.
Research
AV & the City Initiative at the University of San Francisco (USF)
As Co-Director of this initiative, I bring together national leaders in business, policy, and academia to shape the future of urban mobility. We focus on how autonomous vehicles can help reimagine cities and improve livability. Our work includes applied research projects and events that connect the vibrant ecosystem around autonomous mobility.
Human-centered Design
I’m interested in Human-Centered Design as a way to make transportation systems, e.g., autonomous vehicles and public transport more comfortable, accessible, and accepted by users. My work focuses on integrating human factors, universal design principles, and tools like Virtual Reality and pedestrian simulations to create design concepts that truly reflect user needs.
Life Cycle Assessment
I’m passionate about using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to understand the full environmental impact of technologies and systems. My work helps identify trade-offs and guide more sustainable decisions by assessing impacts from production to end-of-life.
Teaching & Trainings
Teaching
I regularly teach courses on sustainability, transportation, and innovations at the University of San Francisco (USF), and have held teaching roles at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and Technical University of Munich (TUM). I also enjoy sharing insights globally through guest lectures at institutions like Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), and , engaging students in forward-looking discussions on urban transformation and technology.
Training
I have developed training programs for professionals on the topic of Automated Mobility, including a comprehensive 3-day UITP training that was held in person and combined expert insights with live autonomous vehicle (AV) field trials for public transport. I’ve also been invited to speak at other professional programs, such as the Mobility Masterclass and the Master Class at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL).
